Physics has always been a very tricky subject, most of it would not have taken to its complexities if it were not for the simple falling of an apple on the head of this very curious scientist.

Like the legend goes, young and tired Sir Issac Newton was sleeping under the tree, when the fruit of the physics wonderland fell on his head and woke him up, the world has never been same after!All the forces and laws of nature found their way into the conversations.

Luckily for me, the apple that fell on me , hit me hard when I was very much awake and was drowning in fun and as far as this anecdote goes, the life has been never the same, it just got better!

Not so far away in time, there was a phase in everyone’s lives where they had to stay indoors to stay alive and protected.The whole world was knit around the same two hands of the clock which with every passing hour brought just two reports- of life and death. Slowly, people found ways to live in the new normal- few found their comfort in sticking to their old hobbies, while a majority of them found a whole new set to keep themselves entertained, while the elite few found a balance of life between the activities.

Then, came an era of social media posts where people flaunted to their whole world of followers about the new things they tried; some ranted, a few wrote gaudy captions while the very few excelled at everything they did. wondering how one can be good at everything they set their eye to?Ask my Apple! So, the following are upshots with my apple, of how a certain set of people hit bull’s eye in every task.These people can be you and me too, if we followed the customs religiously,like;

  1. Cancel Distractions: This characteristic is of paramount importance in dealing with things; do not get carried away with factors that do not form a part of the current equation.Ultimate focus is the key to this characteristic, there are so many external factors that might constantly interfere in the process disturbing equilibrium, but holding steadfast and understanding which could be lent an ear and not to, is an art we need to develop.
  2. Eye the Results: Mental picture of the end result helps to stay fueled through out the task. Also, it inspires the positive energy around the activity with majority of it working out the math around positive probabilities.Never begin a task with an image that shouts failure in your sub-conscious, it is a discouragement to your comfort and it steers the interest away.
  3. Take pride in the Task: Never belittle yourself or the task that has to be done.Feel confident about it and learn as you go by the task. It helps in tricking the conscious to assume that the task is simple and can be easily done. It also makes it interesting while you consider it already won.
  4. Sheer Dedication: A lot of the output is influenced by being unaffected by the factors outside our zone of control, the factors in our control can be prioritized/eliminated. Whole and soul commitment to the task helps in completing it on time and reduces the stress.It also leaves a lot of time to spend on other things.
  5. One task at a time: The skill of categorizing the activities that take precedence over other helps in looking at one task with great dedication. The people who excel at everything have their mind on an activity and it is involved only in just that, while keeping all the other tasks at bay.They are able to make better decisions unfettered by the anxiety of doing something else.
  6. Enjoy the output: Never feel disheartened, if the tasks don’t turn out like they were expected to. Always, take the learning from the setback and use it as a milestone of growth for the next times!
  7. The art of Sharing:The joy of sharing the results with loved ones works wonders as a way for positive reinforcement, also invites a lot of comments and other simpler ways of doing it.Phrasing the task, helps to recount the journey and subconsciously plan for the next time.
  8. Rejoice Feedback: Taking feedback constructively and not letting it affect you is one way to end the task on a good note. So when a task once done, it is done and dusted for good.

I am glad and happy for the lessons I learnt from my Apple so far and many more to look out for. The metrics of excelling at a task is on us and majorly in our mindset, training it is one and many steps towards success. I am lucky I found my Apple,like Newton I am set to understand and capture the laws of the nature in my Universe.
